Growing up on the Gold Coast and finding a passion for sport and teaching lead me down the high school Health and Physical Education and Science teaching route. Even though I’ve loved this career for over 10 years, the pull to do something even more aligned to my values was strong.
I’ve always loved doing yoga and have attended sessions since I was a teenager, enjoying the way my mind and body felt after sessions. It was the physical aspect that drew me to it, but the mental side as well as the philosophy is what I fell in love with.
I completed my yoga teacher training in Rockhampton and travelled every month over 18 months. My teachers and mentors were fantastic and I owe my value towards inclusion as well as integrating yoga philosophy to them.
Having two children has certainly restricted my ability to teach yoga as often as I’d like, but thankfully I have a supportive partner and amazing friends who have helped me offer this service to our little country town of Clermont.
I am loving this role even more than I thought I would and I cannot wait to continue sharing my passion with you.
See you on the mat.

Yoga can be simply described as a type of moving meditation. Therefore, you’re not only improving your physical fitness, but supporting your mind, enhancing your focus and regulating your emotions to name a few.
In an era where being busy is considered the norm, and additional pressured are placed on us through social media and comparisons, yoga classes can be a well-needed reprieve from these external influences. It allows us the space to be in the moment and encourages us to become the experts of our own bodies and minds to support our personal development.
Additionally, you can build loving kindness (Maitri) for yourself and others in a safe space that also encourages a sense of community and shared wellness.
So many great reasons to jump aboard the yoga bandwagon.
